Application submission deadlines can be found on the calendar located at the bottom of the homepage. Hearings are held the second Monday of the month only if a request has been submitted by the deadline the previous month. The Board requires application submission a few weeks prior to tentative hearing date for notification to abutters and for publication in the newspaper.
Fees are due at time of submission no exceptions.
Requirements for Variance Application Submission
Submit with application:
- Site Plan - must include: locations of all buildings/structures, setback distances sides/water/road/rear, square footage existing and proposed, contour details, and wetlands, if applicable.
- Three (3) sets of mailing labels of abutters
- Two (2) copies of plans (1- 22” x 34”; 1 - 11’ x 17”), along with an electronic file (vector PDF preferred) sent to the Planning/Zoning Clerk at planningzoning@centerharbornh.gov
Fees:
- $150 application fee
- $15 for each abutter hearing notification (must be sent certified mail, and includes owner, and architect/surveyor/attorney if applicable). Fees are subject to change due to Post Office price increases.
- $48 newspaper publication (Laconia Daily Sun. Fees are subject to change due to publishing price increases)

Requirements for Administrative Decision Appeal Application Submission
An appeal to the Board on any administrative decision or requirement shall be taken within 30 days of the date of such decision or requirement, and not thereafter.
