Fee Schedule

Applications

Application submission deadlines can be found on the calendar located at the bottom of the homepage. Hearings are held the first Tuesday of the month. The Board requires application submission a few weeks prior to the hearing date for notification to abutters and the public.

Fees are due at time of submission no exceptions.

Requirements for Non-Residential Site Plan, Home Occupation, and Change in Use Application Submissions

Submit with application:

  • Three (3) sets of mailing labels of abutters
  • Five (5) copies of plans (1- 22”x 34”; 4- 11” x 17”), along with an electronic file (no larger than 15mb in size) sent to the Planning/Zoning Clerk at planningzoning@centerharbornh.gov (If property site plan is required see Section 3 of Non-Residential Plan Review for details of what is required).

Fees:

  • $150 application fee
  • $15 for each abutter hearing notification (must be sent certified mail, include owner of lot(s) and if applicable surveyor)
  • $48 Public Hearing Advertisement fee (if applicable)

If the application is complete, the Land Use/Planning/Zoning Clerk will confirm the hearing date. If the application is missing any of the required documentation, the application will be rejected and will require resubmission.

Requirements for Boundary Line Adjustment/Subdivision Application Submission

Submit with application:

  • Subdivision/Boundary Line Adjustment checklist (which is a part of the application)- Subdivision checklist must be supplied with subdivision/amended subdivision or boundary line adjustment applications.) Failure to submit the checklist, may result in rejection of the application.
  • Three (3) sets of mailing labels for abutters
  • Five (5) copies of plans (5- 22”x 34”), along with an electronic file (no larger than 15mb in size) sent to the Planning/Zoning Clerk at planningzoning@centerharbornh.gov

Fees:

  • $150 application fee PLUS $100 for each lot created
  • $15 for each abutter hearing notification (must be sent certified mail, include owner of lot(s) and surveyor)

Upon approval

  • L-chip fee to be submitted with Mylar. A check payable to the Belknap Country Registry of Deeds. Fees assessed are at the current rate plus postage per Belknap County Registers of Deeds.
  • Recording fee, check payable to Town of Center Harbor. Fee assessed at the current rate plus postage per Belknap County Registers of Deeds.

Voluntary Merger Application

Per RSA 674:39-A Voluntary Merger. Any owner of two or more contiguous pre-existing approved or subdivided lots or parcels who wishes to merge them for municipal regulation and taxation purposes may do so by applying to the Center Harbor Planning Board or its designee. Except where such merger would create a violation of then-current ordinances or regulations, all such requests shall be approved and no public hearing or notice shall be required.

No new survey plat need to be recorded, but a notice of the merger, sufficient to identify the relevant parcels and endorsed in writing by the Planning Board or its designee, shall be filed for recording in the registry of deeds, and a copy mailed to the municipality’s assessing officials. No such merged parcel shall thereafter be separately transferred without subdivision approval.

The completed form must be returned to the Center Harbor Town Office for Planning Board approval. If the Planning Board grants an approval on the lot merger, the Planning Board Clerk will request the recording fees from the property owner . Lot mergers will not be recorded until all fees are paid, the fees associated with a lot merger are based on the fee schedule set by the Belknap County Register of Deeds plus postage.

Merger will not be effective until it has been recorded as per RSA 674:39-A, and a copy showing the registry stamps is received by the Town.
